I joined the Unlimited Potential Committee in 2007 with a desire to be part of the Wellington ICT community by helping organise networking events.  I recently stepped down from a full-time role on the committee, but remain a casual member and still assist with some committee matters.  I enjoy coming along to events and participating in the wider ICT community. I was recently part of the organising committee that ran Linux Conference here in Wellington.  Also for the past two years I helped organise Software Freedom Day celebrations here in the capital.  After working for more than a decade in the public sector, I now work from home.  My time is divided between working on my own web company (The Lifebox Company Limited), and running a government consulting and training business Fivepeas Limited to help pay for my caffeine addiction and now nappies!  I blog occasionally about life and work bits and pieces at www.lifeboxarchive.blogspot.com and www.fivepeas.blogspot.com, and sometimes tweet @jaynew
